Since very young I have been interested in art in general. As a child, I was already "producing" jewellery items such as bracelets, rings and other accessories, as well as sculpting some pieces in soap. As the years went by, I discovered the appeal of restyling products and clothes I already owned. This inclination motivated me to learn to design and sew clothing, and during this time I put my creative and handicraft skills to the test. I was driven to put some order into my ideas, and sought to enhance my knowledge in the creative field. I decided on a course in fashion technology at SENAC, where I learned a variety of techniques and attended classes in marketing and management that gave me a good overview of the fashion design market.

Although the world of fashion appealed to me, I began to find it too narrow a field to accommodate my ambitions to transform the whims of everyday society into real products. The tendency to questioning and seek an understanding of the method and reason behind an object's particular design concept has always been a characteristic feature of my personality. I would look at the products and wonder if there was not an alternative design option that might render them more serviceable. When I enrolled in college and had to choose an orientation, there was no doubt in my mind that it would be something in the creative field. I passed the entrance screening for acceptance to three public colleges, and opted for the course of study that had attracted me from the start, Industrial Design.

From the moment I began attending classes in the first session, I never regretted my choice. I saw the course as an opportunity to make the connection between art, aesthetics and industry. I began to realize that the insight I was gaining in class could empower me to seek new solutions to support and answer the aspirations of a society seeking modernity coupled with sustainability.

In college, I learned how to work with materials such as iron, various woods and polyester resin to form objects including vases, chairs and lamps according to the class workshop models. To improve my results in these activities, I took a course in Photoshop, and I also took up the independent study of 3D software like SolidWorks, Sketchup and other  programs, such as Illustrator and InDesign. Painting and drawing, especially pastel drawing, became an increasingly prominent part of my life.

In order to improve my academic and cultural knowledge, I did an exchange for one year in England, where I studied in undergraduate degree in product design at Hertfordshire College. In England I had the opportunity to participate in a project focused on technical and 3D printing materials, which greatly expanded my knowledge on the subject

Beyond the academic environment, I like to go to the theatre, art galleries and ballet, and I enjoy sewing and reading. I also participate on voluntary programs as Ação Global and Matemática do Bem. I take every travel opportunity that comes my way as I believe exposure to different types of culture, habits and customs expands our world vision and develop creativity. .
